It was another good day for Kylian Mbappe and his side in the World Cup. The Real Madrid star scored twice as France comfortably defeated Iraq 3-0 in a Group I match at Lincoln Financial Field, advancing to the Round of 32 despite a lengthy thunderstorm delay.

Mbappé opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a superb left-footed strike from the edge of the box. The game was then suspended at halftime due to severe weather, resulting in a roughly two-hour interruption, the first such significant rain delay of the tournament.

Play resumed in the second half, where Mbappe added his second goal in the 54th minute, capitalizing on an assist from Michael Olise. Ousmane Dembele sealed the victory in the 66th minute, also assisted by Olise, who impressed in a creative midfield role alongside the star attackers.
