It is not just another football match as the two of the greatest of their era's are set to reunite once again on the field at the international stage.

The last time both of them met during an international match was way back in the 2021 Copa America final. Neymar returns after 1.5 years

Neymar's inclusion in the Brazil squad gives them a huge boost as the former has been sidelined from international duty since October 17, 2023, when he suffered a knee injury during their World Cup qualifier against Uruguay. His absence was felt on the pitch but after regaining full fitness with his boyhood club Santos, he is back in the mix. 

Dorival Junior, Brazil's head coach surprised many with the inclusion of Neymar in the squad against qualifiers with Colombia and Argentina. Since regaining full fitness, Neymar has scored three goals and has three assists in the seven matches he has played for Santos. His recent performances was enough to prove that he is fit to perform at the elite level. 

Lionel Scaloni's Argentina squad remains a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the South American football. The defending World Cup champions have been consistent in their performances with Messi leading the charge despite his recent injury concerns. He recently missed matches for Inter Miami but is considered to be fully fit to feature against Uruguay and Brazil. 

Scaloni has gone with the major chunk of the 2022 World Cup squad with youngsters coming in such as Claudio Echeverri and Maximo Perrone. The success for Argentina has been possible because of their combination of youth and experience.
