With football season coming to an end with just the UEFA Champions League final left to be held this month, clubs have been going through major changes for the upcoming season.
Another club decided to make changes as AC Milan has sacked head coach Massimiliano Allegri with immediate effect after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League on the final day of the 2025-26 Serie A season.

The decision, announced Monday, comes after a disappointing campaign in which the Rossoneri could not secure a top-four finish despite high expectations following Allegri’s return to the club in 2025.
A loss on the season’s closing matchday proved decisive, triggering a major shake-up at the club that is also expected to include the departures of several senior executives, including CEO Giorgio Furlani.
Allegri, who had previously managed Milan early in his career and enjoyed success at Juventus, returned to San Siro last year but faced criticism for a pragmatic, defensive style that many fans believed limited the team’s attacking potential. His tenure ends after just one season in his second stint with the club.
The move marks the latest chapter in Milan’s turbulent recent history as the club seeks to rebuild under owner Gerry Cardinale. Speculation has already begun about potential replacements, with names like Antonio Conte frequently mentioned by fans and media, while Allegri is expected to be linked with other Serie A sides in the coming weeks.
