Portuguese star forward Cristiano Ronaldo might have missed out on a goal in his debut game for Al Nassr but the five-time Ballon d'Or winner displayed his skills during his side's narrow 1-0 victory over Ettifaq FC on Sunday (January 22) night. The former Real Madrid striker brought out his beloved stepover-fake shot to send the opponent defender tumbling to the floor with his movement.
The 37-year-old made his debut in the Saudi Pro League as Anderson Talisca’s goal helped Al-Nassr move to the top of the league standings. His goals come after the brace that he scored for Riyadh All-Star XI during an exhibition match against Lionel Messi’s PSG last week.
After playing only one half of that friendly, the 2016 Euros winner got through the entire 90 minutes when he captained the Al-Nassr side following his much-highlighted exit from Premier League giants Manchester United.
In the game against Ettifaq, Ronaldo was unable to find the net as the fans cheered him on whenever he got a touch on the ball. There was a moment during the game which made the crowd cheer in ecstasy as Ronaldo floored an opposition defender with a sublime fake shot. He appeared to take a crack with his right foot which left the defender wrong-footed.

With the victory, the side managed by Rudi Garcia, took a step above their arch-rivals Al-Hilal in the league standings, having played a game more than them. Their next challenge will see Al Nassr play in the Saudi Super Cup semifinal on Thursday, January 26 with Ronaldo eager to get off the mark for his new club.
