Bayern Munich has emerged as one of the most formidable teams in Europe this 2025/26 season under the stunning leadership of manager Vincent Kompany. The Bavarians have delivered a record-breaking campaign in the Bundesliga, storming to the top of the table with an impressive tally of wins, high-scoring performances, and a rock-solid defense that has become a threat to opponents.
Meanwhile, the Bundesliga side is drawn against Spanish giants Real Madrid in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League. Alvaro Arbeloa’s side eliminated Manchester City to pit the last eight clash against the six-time UCL champions. Ahead of the clash, team superstar Kylian Mbappe was asked about the tough draw. The Frenchman went on to name the only team that is capable of beating the German team.
Kylian Mbappe names only team that can beat dominant Bayern Munich
In a recent interview on the French programme Telefoot, Mbappe praised Bayern Munich as the side currently in the best form across Europe ahead of their highly anticipated quarter-final clash. The French forward acknowledged the German giants' impressive run, including a dominant 10-2 aggregate victory over Atalanta in the previous round.
Mbappe, who has been ramping up his fitness, highlighted the challenge but struck a confident tone for Los Blancos. The player, however, knows a team that can stop the German club. He said:
"But if there's one team that can beat that sort of side, it's Real Madrid.”
Meanwhile, the two European heavyweights share a storied knockout history, with Madrid emerging victorious in their last four meetings. The tie, set for early April, promises fireworks as both teams chase Champions League glory.
