It's bad news for the fans as Leicester City have been relegated to League One. The relegation comes after their  2-2 draw with Hull City at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday, confirming back-to-back demotions just a decade after their miraculous 2016 Premier League title win.

The Foxes, who stunned the football world as 5,000-1 outsiders under Claudio Ranieri, now face life in the third tier of English football for the first time since 2008-09. With results elsewhere sealing their fate, the club’s rapid decline marks one of the most dramatic falls in modern football history.

The relegation comes amid severe financial and on-pitch struggles. Revenues are expected to drop by around 50% in League One, compounding issues from previous Premier League demotions in 2023 and 2025.

High wage bills failed to deliver results despite a squad featuring experienced players, leading to widespread criticism of performances described as "abhorrent" by pundits. Fans expressed heartbreak at full time, with many pointing to poor management, player sales after the title, and instability following the 2018 helicopter crash that killed former owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.
