James Maddison, the prominent England midfielder, has candidly shared his enthusiasm about donning the Spurs jersey, expressing a sense of belonging with Tottenham Hotspur. This comes in the backdrop of the club's impending Premier League fixture against Bournemouth on August 26. Maddison's move to Tottenham was notably catalysed by Leicester City's demotion to the Championship.

Discussing his sentiments with TNT Sports, Maddison remarked, "I genuinely feel at home with Spurs. The warmth and camaraderie I've experienced at Tottenham Hotspur have been overwhelming. It's not merely about being at a big club, it's about feeling integrated and valued. And I have every hope that we'll clinch notable victories on the pitch."

While Maddison now calls Tottenham home, his heart evidently still holds a special corner for Leicester. After committing five years, 203 matches, and netting 55 goals for the Foxes, it wasn't an easy departure for him. His tenure at the King Power Stadium saw him lift both the FA Cup and the Community Shield. Moreover, his final season with Leicester was noteworthy, as he managed to score 10 Premier League goals, even as the club faced the setback of relegation.

Commenting on Leicester, Maddison conveyed, "My bond with Leicester is profound, and it was hard watching a team I love face relegation. I harbour earnest hopes of seeing them make a swift return to the Premier League. Judging by their current form, that seems plausible."

Tottenham Hotspur commenced their 2023/24 Premier League journey with a gripping 2-2 standoff against Brentford. This was followed by a triumphant 2-0 conquest over Manchester United at their home turf. The spotlight is now on their upcoming duel with Andoni Iraola's Bournemouth, set to unfold at the Vitality Stadium this Saturday.
