Bouaddi’s standout rise at Lille has sparked interest from major clubs, with Real Madrid now prioritising him despite his new contract.

Leny Yoro says he turned down Real Madrid for Manchester United, insisting he’s confident in his long-term decision.

Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race to sign Arsenal and Manchester United target Ayyoub Bouaddi. The LOSC Lille star has signed a new contract at the Ligue1 club, but his future at the club stays in the balance.

Ayyoub Bouaddi is high in demand among European clubs

As per a report in Foot Mercato, Bouaddi's rise at Lille has attracted the eyes of various clubs across all over Europe, and they are plotting moves in the summer. Real Madrid are the latest to show interest in the young midfielder, who has been slapped with a €60 million price tag.

Adam Wharton, Chema Andres, and Christos Mouzakitis also remain on the wishlist at Santiago Bernabeu, but the French player has jumped to the top of the list after his new contract at the Ligue1 club. The Spanish club see the price tag as an attractive one  and think they would be signing a talent who can perform well at the club, like Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, who also moved to Madrid from France.

Arsenal and Manchester United are also in the running, with the Gunners reportedly monitoring the situation over a year. Chelsea are also interested in the teenager, despite having a stacked midfield.

Apart from Arsenal, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, Bouaddi is also drawing the attention of Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Inter Milan.

Manchester United defender rejected Real Madrid for Old Trafford move

Manchester United star defender Leny Yoro revealed in November this year that Real Madrid were among the teams chasing in signature. However, he chose to join the Red Devils in 2024 and is happy with his decision.

He was quoted by the Manchester Evening News as saying:

"This is some choice you need to make in your career. I've had a couple of clubs [showing an interest], not just Madrid or United, I had a lot of clubs. Today my choice is Manchester, so I'm really happy with this. I know some people talked about this last year because of the results. I can understand them, but honestly, it's my choice, my career. I know what I'm doing, and I'm just going to be better in the future."

Manchester United paid  52 million to defeat Real Madrid in the signing of Leny Yoro from Lille, with the Frenchman signing a contract until 2029. The Frenchman has played 48 games for Manchester United and has been a regular in the starting XI under Ruben Amorim.
