The 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico, is just days away, and the excitement is on. Ahead of the footballing major held once every four years, the governing body of the tournament has unveiled the first official song of the World Cup album.

The first single of the forthcoming official FIFA World Cup album is called “Lighter” by Jelly Roll and Carin Leon. The song will be available on March 20. It has been produced by Canadian hitmaker Cirkut, who won the 2026 Grammy for producer of the year, non-classical. The official account of the FIFA World Cup took over its social media account to announce. The caption read:
“The first song of the Official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Album, Lighter, by @JellyRoll615 and Carín León drops this Friday. Pre-Save now.”
Meanwhile, it will be the first time that the tournament is held across three countries. The World Cup is set to kick off on June 11 and will run until July 19. The group stages will run from June 11 to 27, followed by the Round of 32 from June 28 to July 3.
The Round of 16 will be held from July 4 to 7, followed by quarterfinals from July 9-11 and semifinals from July 14 to 15, with a blockbuster final on July 19. The World Cup will be held across 16 cities.
