Carlos Alcaraz, the young tennis sensation, recently revealed his top five greatest soccer players of all time. The list, which includes Cristiano Ronaldo along with two Real Madrid legends, has sparked discussions among fans.

Alcaraz’s Love for Soccer and Real Madrid

Currently ranked No. 3 in the ATP rankings, Alcaraz is not just a tennis star but also a passionate soccer fan. A dedicated Real Madrid supporter, he was spotted at the Santiago Bernabéu during the Los Blancos’ clash against Sevilla in December 2024.

His top five picks include:
- Cristiano Ronaldo – Real Madrid’s all-time top scorer
- Sergio Ramos – A defensive icon of the club
- Luka Modric – The midfield maestro
- Ronaldinho – The Brazilian magician from Barcelona
- Neymar – Another former Barcelona superstar

 Messi’s Absence Raises Eyebrows

The exclusion of Lionel Messi from Alcaraz’s list left many fans surprised. Addressing the reactions, Alcaraz later commented on an Instagram post by Overtime Tennis:

"Can’t believe I said those 5 forgetting Messi and a few more 🤦🏽‍♂️ I could say 5 different right now 😅."

This isn't the first time Alcaraz has spoken about his favorite players. Previously, he named a dream five-a-side team featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas, and Andres Iniesta.

 Cristiano Ronaldo’s Lasting Influence

Cristiano Ronaldo’s impact on soccer is undeniable. A five-time Ballon d’Or winner, he remains Real Madrid’s all-time leading scorer with 450 goals in 438 appearances, along with 131 assists. His dominance continues to inspire athletes beyond the sport, as Alcaraz’s admiration shows.

Alcaraz season so far
Carlos Alcaraz's rocky path towards 2025 has faced yet another setback at Indian Wells when he lost to British rising star Jack Draper as they collided in an intense semifinal battle. The Spaniard has had a rough ride trying to live up to his dominance in 2024 this year. He was on fire in earlier rounds, dropping no sets, but fell dramatically from the tournament after an up-and-down loss: 1-6, 6-0, 4-6. This was not surprising since Alcaraz had only one title to show for this year-the Rotterdam event-but he insisted that he would not dwell on disappointment.

After match finished, the two-time Grand Slam winner took to social media and posted:

"Can't wait for the revenge. Good luck in the final."
