Ajith V Kumar, Jai Bhagwan steal show on Day 2 of PKL 2024 Auction; check most expensive buy of PKL 11

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 Player Auction was held in Mumbai from August 15 to August 16, 2024. At the two-day event, Tamil Thalaivas bought Sachin, who ended up being the most expensive purchase. He was purchased for INR 2.15 crores. . In this year's Player Auction, Puneri Paltan outbid everyone to bring in Ajith V Kumar for INR 66 lakh, making him the most expensive Category C player. Bengaluru Bulls roped in Jai Bhagwan for INR 63 lakh.

 

Arjun Rathi emerged as the most expensive player in Category D after he was acquired by Bengal Warriorz for INR 41 Lakh. Furthermore, Mohd. Amaan found a place in the Puneri Paltan team for INR 16.2 lakh and Stuwart Singh was bought for INR 14.2 lakh by U Mumba.

"I didn’t expect my bid to be so high. It feels really good to join the Tamil Thalaivas. This is certainly a life-changing moment for me. The team has put faith in my abilities and I’ll certainly give my best in the upcoming season," said the Star raider of the Player Auction Sachin on being sold to Tamil Thalaivas for INR 2.15 Cr.

 

"I knew that the Telugu Titans would utilize the FBM card for me. I couldn’t carry out the job that I was bought for in the last season, but I’ve received another chance to complete my unfinished business with the franchise. I have worked with Telugu Titans’ new Head Coach Krishna Kumar Hooda before and I had a great experience playing under him. He’s an experienced coach and he knows how to make his raiders perform," said Pawan Sehrawat, who returned to Telugu Titans for INR 1.725 Crore.

 

This PKL auction Auction saw a record number of players in the 1 crore club. In day 1 of the Player Auction, the 1 crore club included Sachin, Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, Guman Singh, Pawan Sehrawat, Bharat, Maninder Singh, Ajinkya Pawar, and Sunil Kumar. Sunil Kumar became the most expensive Indian defender in history when he signed with U Mumba for INR 1.015 crore. Bengaluru Bulls purchased Pardeep Narwal, the PKL player with the most raid points, for INR 70 Lakh, while Jaipur Pink Panthers purchased veteran defender Surjeet Singh for INR 60 Lakh.
