Formula 1 returns to the United States this weekend for the highly anticipated Las Vegas Grand Prix, marking the start of the final triple-header that will conclude the thrilling 2024 season. The Las Vegas Grand Prix can be a title decider as Max Verstappen is all set to crown the F1
The action begins with Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2 on Thursday, November 21 (local time), followed by Free Practice 3 and qualifying on Friday, November 22, with the 50-lap Las Vegas Grand Prix race taking place on Saturday, November 23.
Max Verstappen's possible title
As the final three races of the 2024 Formula 1 season approach, Max Verstappen is poised for another championship victory, needing just one more win to seal the title on November 24, Sunday. After a remarkable comeback at the Brazilian Grand Prix, where he surged from 17th place to win, Verstappen now holds eight victories, 13 podiums, and 393 points. With only three races left—Las Vegas, Qatar (including the sprint), and Abu Dhabi—Lando Norris is second with 331 points, securing three wins and 12 podium finishes.
In the Constructors' Championship, McLaren leads with 593 points, followed closely by Ferrari with 557, and Red Bull in third with 544 points.
McLaren remains confident about maintaining their lead. "After a well-earned break, we focused on working hard in the simulator and analyzing data to ensure we are fully prepared for this crucial season-ending triple-header. The competition is fierce, but we have a strong car and a solid team," the team stated
Last year, despite some chaos and driver frustrations with the Las Vegas Street Circuit, the race was still a thrilling spectacle. Charles Leclerc played a pivotal role, finishing between Max Verstappen (P1) and Sergio Perez (P3), thwarting Red Bull’s plans for a 1-2 finish. This year, the outcome remains uncertain.
