The NASCAR Cup Series kick-off with the first race weekend of the Round of 12 with practice and qualifying on Saturday at Kansas Speedway ahead of Sunday's Hollywood Casino 400.
Four drivers were eliminated from the playoff field after last week's race at Bristol, including former champions Martin Truex Jr. and Brad Keselowski, as well as Joe Gibbs Racing's Ty Gibbs and Wood Brothers Racing's Harrison Burton. All four drivers from Hendrick Motorsports and three from Team Penske advanced to the Round of 12.
