After opening India's medal count in Paris Olympics, Manu Bhaker will have another chance to win bronze medal.

Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh will compete for bronze medal on July 30.

Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh on July 29 qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024 10m Air Pistol mixed team event. Manu and Sarabjot finished third in the qualification round and will face Republic of Korea's Ye Jin Oh and Wonho Lee in the bronze medal match on July 30. 
 

On the other hand, the pair of Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema finished 10th and got knocked out of the event.

 

Manu and Sarabjot have a combined score of 193, 195 and 192 in Series 1, 2 and 3 respectively. They missed a spot for the gold medal match by just one point. On the other hand, Rhythm and Arjun had a combined score of 194, 192 and 190 in Series 1, 2 and 3 respectively.

 

Turkey's Sevval Ilayda Tarhan and Yusuf Dikec finished at the top with 582 points followed by Serbia's Zorana Arnovic and Damir Mikec with 581 points.

Shot at history for Manu and Sarabjot 

If Manu and Sarabjot win a bronze medal, the 22-year-old will become the first Indian to win two medals in a single edition of Olympics. Only British-origin Norman Pritchard has bagged two silver medals for India.

Jindal finishes 7th in medal round

In the other shooting event of the day, Ramita Jindal finished seventh with a score of 145.3. After 10 shots, she was placed seventh with a score of 104. When the elimination began, she shot a 10.5 to reach the sixth place to knock out Norway's Hegg Jeanette Duestad. But two shots of 10.2 led to her facing elimination in the contest.
