Topuria says McGregor throws "super bad vibes".

UFC Featherweight Champion Ilia Topuria recently shared his candid thoughts on Conor McGregor. Much like the Notorious, the El Matador is also known to unsettle his opponents with verbal attacks ahead of the fight and does not mind trash talk. He's previously taken jabs at McGregor, and his latest comments confirm the Irishman remains firmly on his radar.

Ilia Topuria on Conor McGregor

Topuria described McGregor as having a "dark aura" that emits "super bad vibes." Reflecting on McGregor's heyday in the UFC, Topuria recalled feeling the need to distance himself from the negative energy surrounding the former double champion.

“Super bad vibes. Look. Analyzing people as human beings, let’s look at Conor. A guy, his wife, his children, his family, I can’t give an opinion. I don’t know how these people are. He might be an excellent person, and I perceived his energy in a different way from what it is,” the reigning Featherweight Champion told Glamtera Visuals.

“He simply came to work to put on a show but the feeling I had when he was around was: Keep him away! Keep him away! Just a terrible energy. I swear, it felt like his aura came from hell, you know what I’m saying? I want to be away from this dude, he has black energy, I had never felt that before,” he added.

Despite the admission, Ilia Topuria is open to locking horns with Conor McGregor in the ring and in the past has claimed that he would dominate the Mystic Mac if they ever crossed paths inside the Octagon.

Still nothing on McGregor's return

After leaving Michael Chandler in limbo for a considerable period, ultimately backing out from the scheduled UFC 294 fight, Conor McGregor has remained away from the ring. Almost four years have passed since he last stepped foot inside the Octagon, and many believe the world of MMA has already seen the last of the Irishman. McGregor has remained active on social media through and seldom expresses his opinions on fights and also trades shots with one of the prominent fighters every once in a while.

However, when it comes to whether he will take the ring route again, nothing is concrete aside from an opaque picture. Nevertheless, there are rumors that McGregor could return for a one-off boxing affair against Logan Paul.
