Neeraj Chopra's wedding marks a joyous occasion in the life of the celebrated javelin thrower. This personal milestone follows his continued success on the global stage. At the recent Paris Games 2024, Neeraj added another feather to his cap by securing a silver medal in the javelin throw final. This achievement builds upon his historic gold medal win at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, a landmark moment for Indian athletics as it marked the first time an Indian athlete had won an individual gold medal in a track and field event at the Olympic Games.

In the Paris Games final, Neeraj faced stiff competition from Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, who ultimately claimed gold with an impressive throw of 92.97 meters. While Neeraj narrowly missed out on retaining his Olympic title, his throw of 89.45 meters was a testament to his exceptional talent and dedication. Despite his consistent brilliance, Neeraj has yet to breach the coveted 90-meter mark in his javelin throws. However, he has consistently demonstrated his exceptional ability, with his personal best throw currently standing at 89.94 meters, achieved during the 2022 Stockholm Diamond League.
