Rising Russian tennis sensation Mirra Andreeva delivered both a straight-sets victory over Jelena Ostapenko and a viral post-match quip at the Stuttgart Open on Wednesday. The tennis sensation is eyeing a big prize money in the tournament; however, she would need a driver's license to use it.
At the Stuttgart Open, also known as Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, a WTA 500 event on indoor clay, players primarily win prize money, WTA ranking points, and, most famously for the singles champion, a brand-new Porsche sports car. Andreeva was asked if she owns a driving license, and here is what she had to say.

The 18-year-old, fresh off her win, was asked in an on-court interview whether she had a driver's license after learning the tournament winner would receive a luxury car. Andreeva replied with a grin:
“If I manage to get to the end of the tournament and win, I’m gonna take this car and I’m gonna go down on the court. I don’t care if I don’t have a drivers license.”
Andreeva advanced in the clay-court event, where the winner traditionally receives a high-end Porsche as part of the prize package. Andreeva, already regarded as one of the WTA's brightest young talents, has been turning heads with her mature game and charismatic presence.
The Stuttgart Open, an indoor clay tournament, continues this week with top players competing for valuable ranking points and the memorable prize. She will next face Alycia Parks, after battling 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 to win in the first round on Wednesday, to eliminate reigning champion Ostapenko.
