The 2026b Australian Open has recently concluded, where Elena Rybakina stunned the crowd, defeating top seed Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in two hours and 18 minutes to claim her second major title and her first in Melbourne Park. 

How does WTA Rankings look after Australian Open 2026?

Following the conclusion of the first Grand Slam of the year, the Kazakh climbed two spots to reach her best historical position. She has returned to the top three in the WTA ranking for the first time in two years. 

Meanwhile, Iga Swiatek stays on the No. 2 spot after falling in the quarterfinal of the major in Australia. While Sabalenka, Swiatek, and Rybakina dominate the top three rankings, Coco Gauff has fallen to No. 5, and defending champion Madison Keys bows out of the top-10. 

Additionally, Elina Svitolina, who reached the semifinals before losing to the No. 1 player, Sabalenka, has entered the Top 10. A look at the top rankings after the conclusion of the Australian Open 2026.
