Novak Djokovic is not retiring just yet, amid the speculations. However, the 24-time Grand Slam champion has signaled his intention to retire from professional tennis, which is expected to come after two years. 

The Serbian has stated that he is eyeing a retirement at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. The 38-year-old made the comments during a press conference while holding the Serbian flag, stating that competing for his country at the Olympics remains a powerful motivation even as he has accomplished all his major career goals.

Djokovic stated that he has achieved everything he wanted while leaving room for uncertainty due to factors beyond his control. The announcement comes as the Serbian star continues to compete at the highest level, blending ambition with a clear-eyed view of his career’s twilight. 

With 24 Grand Slam titles and a career spanning more than two decades, Djokovic’s potential farewell at the 2028 Games would cap a historic run that includes Olympic success and a lifelong dedication to representing Serbia on the world stage.
