Pakistan’s Talha Waheed has etched his name in history by smashing the record for the most tennis serves in a minute, as confirmed by Guinness World Records on Wednesday.

Pakistan’s Talha Waheed has etched his name in history by smashing the record for the most tennis serves in a minute, as confirmed by Guinness World Records on Wednesday. The previous record of 42 serves, held by American John Perry since 2019, was surpassed by Waheed, who managed an astonishing 59 successful serves in his official attempt last November.  

 A Feat Achieved Through Dedication  
Waheed underwent an intense three-month training regimen in preparation for the record-breaking attempt, which took place on November 8, 2024, in Lahore under strict adherence to Guinness World Records' guidelines. His success was officially recognized on March 10, 2025, making him the latest record-holder in this category.   An Accomplished Career  

“A seasoned competitor in national and international senior tennis, Talha boasts an impressive record in the 35+, 40+, and 45+ doubles categories, having claimed multiple national titles. His international career includes participation in ITF senior world ranking tournaments, where he achieved a career-high ranking of 144 in the 40+ doubles category,” the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) shared on Instagram.

Pakistan Tennis Federation President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi lauded Waheed’s achievement, calling it a major milestone for the sport in Pakistan.  

"Talha’s achievement is unique, and securing a place in the Guinness Book of World Records is no easy task. This will serve as a great inspiration and a major boost for tennis in Pakistan," he stated.  

 

 


 

"Talha Waheed Sets New Guinness World Record for Most Successful Tennis Serves in One Minute

 

Pakistani senior tennis player Talha Waheed has officially entered the Guinness World Records by setting a new benchmark for the Most Successful Tennis Serves in One Minute (Male).

 

Inspired by the previous Guinness World Record of 42 successful serves in one minute, set by John Perry of USA in 2019, Talha embarked on an ambitious journey to break the record. Following a rigorous three-month training regimen, he made his official attempt on November 8, 2024, in Lahore, adhering strictly to Guinness World Records guidelines.

 

On March 10, 2025, Talha received official confirmation from Guinness World Records, declaring him the new world record holder.

 

Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, President-PTF, along with Col. Zia-ud-Din Tufail Secretary General, PTF- PTF management, and fellow tennis players, congratulated Talha on this unique and remarkable achievement.

 

President-PTF stated “Talha’s achievement is unique, and securing a place in the Guinness Book of World Records is no easy task. This will serve as a great inspiration and a major boost for tennis in Pakistan," they shared on social media
