Alcaraz was seen hitting the tennis court with Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario in the offseason. The 22-year-old had the opportunity to add an MLB venue to their lists during the inaugural Miami Invitational, along with players like Amanda Anisimova, Joao Fonseca, and Jessica Pegula.
Before the four tennis stars took the court at the transformed LoanDepot Park, the home of the Miami Marlins Major League Baseball team, Alcaraz was captured playing tennis with Nazario, the two-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Earlier, the tennis sensation was seen with Lionel Messi and David Bacckham at the MLS Cup Eastern Conference. Although it is well known that Alcaraz is a Real Madrid supporter, he lauded the appearance of players like Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. Alcaraz was there to present the trophy to Inter Miami superstar Messi as his side beat the New York City FC with a score of 5-1 to win the conference title.
Meanwhile, the World No. 1 ATP player defeated Joao Fonseca in an exhibition match at the Miami Invitational the day after his loss to Frances Tiafoe. The Spain international beat Fonseca with a score of 7-5, 2-6, 10-8. It was their first time facing each other, and the two have never played each other in a competitive match.
