WWE Chief Creative Officer Triple H was reportedly back backstage at SmackDown after being absent from several episodes of both RAW and SmackDown in recent weeks. The 14-time world champion, who has been steering WWE’s creative direction since assuming his executive role, had not been seen at multiple tapings, sparking speculation about his absence.
According to Fightful Select, “Triple H has apparently been absent from the show over the last few weeks… but is now backstage.” His return couldn’t have come at a more crucial time, as the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event promises intense rivalries, featuring Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre on one side, and CM Punk taking on Jey Uso in what’s expected to be a headline clash.
Road Dogg joins The Game backstage
In addition to Triple H, another familiar face made a return — WWE Hall of Famer and SmackDown’s head writer Road Dogg. The former D-Generation X member had missed the previous week’s show but is now reportedly “back on the road” alongside his longtime friend and colleague.
