Mohammad Nabi returned to Afghanistan's XI, while India fielded a revamped bowling attack.

India are playing against Afghanistan in their ongoing third and final ODI match of the series. The game is being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The visitors have won the toss and opted to bat first against the Shubman Gill-led side.

What happened at the toss?

Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and opted to bat first against the Men in Blue, which clearly reflects the effect of India's dominating batting show in the second ODI where the Shubman Gill-led side posted a mammoth total of 402.

What did the captains say?

After winning the toss, Shahidi noted the surface at the MA Chidambaram Stadium is looking good, as it is dry and hard in nature. The Afghanistan skipper focused on the need of being consistent at the key areas, as they missed on having solid starts in the last two games. While revealing the team combinations, he revealed that Mohammad Nabi is making a return. Where as Azmatullah Omarzai, Zia ur Rahman and Fareed Malik are in.

After losing the toss, Gill also appreciated the batting surface and noted that the Indian team has to chase big totals on a regular basis as it's their only lacking in their last few campaigns.
