Ireland have announced their squad for the upcoming two-game T20I series against India, with experienced wicketkeeper-batter Lorcan Tucker set to captain the side against the Shreyas Iyer-led side. While India could witness the international debut of teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during the series, the tour is also set to mark the start of a new chapter in India's T20I setup.

Ireland have named Lorcan Tucker as the skipper of the side in the upcoming two-game T20I series against India. The squad also features two uncapped players, Matthew Hoey and Jay Munda, who secured their maiden call-ups. Meanwhile, Ruben Wilson, who has already represented Ireland in Test cricket, is in line to make his T20I debut during the series.
Injury concerns for Ireland
Ireland entered the series without six injured players, dealing a big blow to their squad's depth. Key names will miss the series against India, consisting of Josh Little, Mark Adair, Paul Stirling, Curtis Campher, Barry McCarthy and Jordan Neill. Their absence is set to take place responsibility on the fresh faces.
