Gujarat Titans (GT) claimed a commanding win in their IPL 2026 clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 77 runs while defending 230 runs on Saturday, May 10 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. GT star spinner Rashid Khan was given the Player of the Match award for his stunning figures of 4/32 in four overs.
The Afghani spinner removed key players like Dhruv Jurel, Ravindra Jadeja, Donovan Ferreira and Shubham Dubey to help Gujarat secure a crucial win while looking for a playoff berth.
Big feat for Rashid Khan in IPL
While taking key wickets against RR, the star leg spinner broke Sunil Narine's record for most three-wicket-hauls by an overseas spinner in the history of IPL.

In IPL, Sunil Narine has managed to clinch 17 three-wicket hauls in his iconic career so far. On the other hand, Rashid Khan has taken 18 three-wicket hauls after a match-winning spell against RR.
Overall, Rashid stands at the second place in the list of most three-wicket hauls taken by spinners. India's Yuzvendra Chahal has topped the list with 23 three-wicket hauls under his name.
So far, the 27-year-old spinner from Afghanistan has managed to clinch 173 wickets in just 147 innings at an economy rate of 7.17 with a bowling average of 23.7. Rashid Khan has 4 four-wicket hauls under his name in the world's biggest T20 league.
Next challenge for GT in IPL 2026
After the win vs RR, GT will turn their focus to face Sunrisers Hyderabad in their upcoming IPL 2026 clash on Tuesday, May 12 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Shubman Gill-led side will leave no stone unturned in an attempt to defeat Pat Cummin's SRH.
