Chennai Super Kings (CSK) achieved a historic win over their arch-rival Mumbai Indians (MI) in their IPL 2026 game on Thursday, April 24 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. CSK's star pacer Mukesh Choudhary displayed a brave effort by featuring in the line-up despite his mother's demise earlier this week.

After the game CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad praised the left-arm pacer for his bravery, by dedicating the historic win over MI to him.

“Yes, pretty tough on him (Choudhary), I would definitely like to dedicate this win to him," said Gaikwad.
Gaikwad applauded the star speedster for showing up even after facing a big personal loss, saying it takes guts to comeback for the side amid such tough time.
"Hats off to him, coming in from that sad situation, it takes a lot of effort mentally, and I think he came back for the team, came back for the franchise," concluded Gaikwad.
The left-arm seamer dropped a commendable effort while defending 208 runs in the second innings, picking up one-wicket for 31 runs in four overs at an economy rate of 7.75.
Big comeback for CSK in IPL 2026
After a huge win against MI, CSK jumped to the fifth place in the standings with six points in hand after playing seven matches. The Yellow Army also had a surge in their net run rate, which now stands at +0.118.
The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side will lock horns against Shubman Gill's Gujarat Titans (GT) in their upcoming IPL 2026 clash on Sunday, April 26 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
