Rajasthan Royals (RR) claimed a massive win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash on Tuesday, May 19 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. RR's teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi registered another marvelous knock of 93 runs off just 38 balls to seal the game by eight wickets.
While chasing massive 220 runs, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel played a big role in RR's run-chase, with the latter scoring 53 off 38 balls. After the game, the 15-year-old opener got the Player of the Match award for his terrific knock.

Big claim from Sunil Gavaskar
In a surprising turn of events, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka was seen having a heartwarming chat with the young RR opener. While witnessing the heartwarming chat, Sunil Gavaskar prompted a hilarious remark while doing commentary.
"I will be biding for you soon," said Gavaskar.
After the game, the LSG owner shared a social media post featuring Sooryavanshi, to appreciate his superb talent. The young opener smashed 10 massive sixes during his stay at the crease.
“The world has seen your talent. The nation sees the future in you. That’s a lot of responsibility already on very young shoulders, very able ones at that. Preserve the innocence, keep honing your brilliance, and the world will be at your feet. Prayers, aashirwad, and love for you, Vaibhav,” wrote Sanjiv Goenka.
Next challenge for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026
The Riyan Parag-led side will play their last game of the league phase against Mumbai Indians on Sunday, May 24 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. It will be a key clash for the Rajasthan-based franchise, a win against MI would cement their chances to reach the playoffs.
