All the ten Indian Premier League franchises have finalised their rosters ahead of next season’s mini-auction, which is slated to take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16. The full lists of retained and released players were formally submitted to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) by the official November 15 deadline.
These submissions confirm the core squads and the players who will re-enter the auction pool. The most significant pre-auction change came via a blockbuster trade deal. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) secured the high-profile signing of Sanju Samson, while in a reciprocal move, two key all-rounders, Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, headed to the Rajasthan Royals (RR). Another major team reshaping effort was seen at Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The franchise made a bold decision to release Venkatesh Iyer, who was a high-value acquisition at Rs 23.75 crore. Furthermore, KKR parted ways with two-time IPL winner Andre Russell, whom they had retained for Rs 12 crore, signaling a substantial overhaul of their squad composition.
