Rajasthan Royals (RR) secured a massive win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by seven wickets in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash on Tuesday, May 19 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. RR's teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was the star of the game with a stunning 93 off 38 balls in the high-scoring thriller.

Winning the toss, RR stand-in skipper Yashasvi Jaiswal invited LSG to bat first. Fortunately, LSG openers Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis kicked off the innings in a flying fashion. The Australian duo stitched an opening stand of 109 runs in just nine overs, before Inglis lost his wicket of Yash Raj Punja's delivery after scoring 60 off 29 (seven fours and three sixes).
However, after losing Mitchell Marsh continued his attacking intent from the other end, scoring 96 off just 57 balls. The right-handed Australian batter smashed 11 fours and five sixes during his stay at the crease. Coming to bat at No.3, Nicholas Pooran managed to score only 16 runs off 11 balls with the help of two sixes. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant managed to give a decent finishing touch with 35 off 23 with two sixes and two fours. At the end of the first innings, LSG managed to post 220/5.
For RR, Yash Raj Punja was the top bowler, clinching two crucial wickets of Josh Inglis and Nicholas Pooran. The young spinner finished the innings with the figures of 2/35 in four overs. Meanwhile, Jofra Archer also claimed a wicket of Ayush Badoni.

In response, RR got off to a flying start with opening duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashing boundaries for fun. The opening duo managed to build an opening stand of 75 runs in the first six overs, before Jaiswal lost his wicket off Akash Singh's bowling after scoring 43 runs off just 23 balls with the help of eight fours and one six.
Despite losing Jaiswal early in the game, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his tremendous form. The 15-year-old opener smashed 93 off 38 balls with the help of six boundaries and 10 massive sixes at a strike rate of 248.48, before losing his wicket to Mohsin Khan. On the other hand, Dhruv Jurel played brilliant second fiddle with unbeaten 53 off 38 balls, hitting three boundaries and two sixes. With Donovan Ferreira finishing the game with a big six. As an outcome, RR sealed the series by seven wickets with 5 balls to spare.
