Delhi Capitals (DC) registered their lowest Indian Premier League (IPL) total since 2017 edition as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) bowled them out for 75. This is also their lowest total since changing their name from Delhi Daredevils. As RCB won the game with nine wickets in hand and 81 balls to spare, DC’s co-owner Parth Jindal took to social media and wrote a message for the franchise. Despite five wins from eight games, he wants DC to stay together and keep fighting.
“Stay together more than ever now @DelhiCapitals - really very tough to take but we must keep fighting and keep believing,” Jindal wrote on X.

The 75 all out came after DC lost to Punjab Kings (PBKS) at home despite posting 264/2 on the board with KL Rahul posting a record-breaking 152.

Before the match against RCB, Jindal had written this is where DC's season truly begins.
“Time to turn the heat on @DelhiCapitals we all know how good this squad is - time to be together, time to play together and time to bring our best cricket to the @IPL - this is where our season truly begins,” he had posted hours before the match.
Porel saves DC from lowest IPL total
None of the top six DC batters scored in double digits. Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar rushed through their lineup. In 3.5 overs, DC lost six wickets for just eight runs. With David Miller hitting a few boundaries, it seemed DC would recover but they couldn't. They ended up getting bowled out for 75 in 16.3 overs. Abishek Porel top-scored for them with a 33-ball 30.
DC’s chances didn’t matter
DC had made three changes to their lineup. Their bowling lineup needed fine-tuning especially after Lungi Ngidi was ruled out of the clash due to neck injury. It also led to them dropping Pathum Nissanka and hand debut cap to 18-year-old Sahil Parakh who was dismissed for a two-ball duck by Bhuvneshwar.
Starc boost for RR clash
DC’s next match is going to be against Rajasthan Royals (RR) away from home. This was their last match at Arun Jaitley Stadium in the ongoing season. They will receive a major boost as Mitchell Starc will be available for selection. Currently, DC are placed seventh on the points table with five losses from eight games. They will need to treat every game going forward as a must-win one.
