After claiming a dominating win over Ruturaj Gaikwad's Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday, May 21 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Shubman Gill took a hilarious dig at the five-time IPL champions. It has become a tradition for the GT skipper after winning games in the IPL 2026.
Shubman Gill trolls CSK
Following the win, Shubman Gill shared a picture on his official Instagram handle with a six word caption, which seemed to be directed towards the Yellow Army. In the post, Gill can be seen with Mohammed Siraj and Jos Buttler with fingers placed on their lips. This could mean that they had silenced the vocal CSK fanbase.
“Nandri 2. Yellow lights, blue ending," wrote Gill in the caption.
Outstanding outing from Gujarat Titans
After winning the toss, CSK skipper elected to bowl first. GT posted a massive total of 229/4, which was powered by a strong display from the top order. The opening duo of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan recorded another strong partnership. Gill scored a sublime knock of 64 runs off just 37 balls, with the help of seven boundaries and three sixes at a strike rate of 172.97. Meanwhile, Sai Sudharsan registered innings of 84 runs off 53 balls, the left handed batter managed to hit seven boundaries and four sixes.
