The entire Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season has been about Royal Challenger Bengaluru's (RCB) attacking brand of cricket, and as an outcome they secured place in the second straight final after winning the maiden title in 2025. The Rajat Patidar-led side secured a mammoth win by 92 runs over Gujarat Titans while defending 255 runs in the Qualifier 1 clash on Tuesday, May 27 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.

Virat Kohli has been very instrumental in RCB's 2026 campaign, with the batter scoring runs at an aggressive strike rate, which is very different from his traditional gameplay. The former India skipper has amassed tons of runs again to guide RCB reach another final.

The 37-year-old batter has breached the 600-run mark in the ongoing season, at an average of 50.00 with a career-best strike rate of 164.38. In the game vs GT, Kohli yet again tried to start the innings at a high pace, before losing his wicket on 43 off just 25 balls.
