It was a week full of upsets with low ranked teams defeating medal contenders.

The Week 2 of NFL 2024 saw bitter-sweet results with the Kansas City Chiefs retaining their top position after a hard-fought win against the favorites Cincinnati Bengals. While the Chiefs embarking on their consecutive third Super Bowl this year stay dominant the other 4 teams in the TOP 5 witness an overhaul. It was a week of upsets.

Here are the NFL power rankings entering Week 3 of the 2024 season

1. Kansas City Chiefs - The Chiefs stay on top and their aim for a third consecutive Super Bowl remains intact. Despite with average margin of victory of four points they have emerged as the most dominant style.

2. Houston Texans - Texans jumped from 6th to 2nd after their wins against Colts and Bears. Their defense is their strength.

3. Buffalo Bills—The Bills jumped from 8th last week to third this week after they claimed an AFC East Championship win.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- They jumped from 11th position to a comfortable 4th after their recent wins.

5. Detroit Lions—The Lions, who were looking for the prime contender to challenge the Chiefs, were derailed this week and have gone from second to fifth.

6. New Orleans Saints- The Saints made an exceptional comeback from 24 to 6th this week. The Saints have been the most improved side in the recent weeks.

7. Minnesota Vikings- The Vikings jumped from 23 to 7 this week. They defeated a stronger unit this Sunday.

8. San Francisco 49ers - They slipped from 3rd to 8th after their defeat which came as a shock for their fans.

9. Philadelphia Eagles- They saw a downfall from being 5th last week to 9th this season.

10. New York Jets- They rose from 12 to 10 in the power rankings.
