Chase’s one-game ban opens the door for Cincinnati’s depth to shine.

Tee Higgins will be the No.1 wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12, while Ja'Marr Chase serves his one-game ban. On Friday, the sixth-year wide receiver shared a cryptic post on social media.

Tee Higgins shares his excitement

In a post he shared on X (FKA Twitter), Tee Higgins shared Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo's signature celebration "Suiii". The wide receiver was expressing his excitement for taking the No.1 spot on the depth chart in Week 12 against the New England Patriots.

Why was Ja'Marr Chase suspended?

Ja'Marr Chase was slapped with a one game ban by the NFL for spitting on Steelers CB Jalen Ramsey during last week's 34-12 defeat. The scenario came to light after the veteran cornerback disclosed how the Bengals WR spat on him, which led to him getting physical with him, resulting in his ejection.

In the post-game press conference, Chase denied the allegations that he spat on Jalen Ramsey.

"I ain't open my mouth today," Chase said. You know, like some of the swears I told. We've been going back and forth the whole time. So I'm sure something got under his skin."

Ja'Marr Chase tried to appeal his suspension, but it was upheld by the NFL. Now, with Tee Higgins moving to the No.1 WR spot for Week 12, the Window of Chance opens up for other players on the depth chart to prove their metal.

Tee Higgins' career with Bengals

The Bengals drafted Tee Higgins with the 33rd overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft. This March, they put a franchise tag on him before agreeing to a four-year contract extension worth $115 million. So far this season, the wide receiver has 544 yards and seven touchdowns receiving.

Tee Higgins drops reaction on Joe Burrow's injury recovery

Joe Burrow has been on the sidelines after suffering a toe injury in Week 2. Although the quarterback is inching towards a comeback on the field.

Burrow took first-team reps during Thursday's practice session and has been placed as "questionable" by the Bengals for Week 12. As per Tee Higgins, the quarterback is making great recovery.

"He needs to take much time as he needs, but I mean, he looks good," Higgins said. "If he's ready, then I'm ready. Take as much time as you need to get back to 100 percent, which I think he is (at) now."

The Bengals are 3-7 heading into Sunday's clash against the New England Patriots (9-2).
