Who is that Lakers fan suing LeBron James for his ‘Second Decision’ stunt?
According to a report by TMZ Sports, a Lakers fan named Andrew Garcia is the one who has decided to take action against James. The 29-year-old is suing the 40-year-old star for "fraud, deception, misrepresentation, and any and all basis of legal recovery." The fan, as per the report, claims that the NBA legend has cost him hundreds of dollars.
Garcia, who is a lifelong Lakers fan, claims that LeBron owes him $865.66, reports TMZ Sports. The fan further told the aforementioned source that as soon as LeBron teased that he had something big to announce, Garcia believed it to be his retirement announcement.
Thinking that the former Cleveland Cavaliers star is about to hang up his boots, Garcia decided to run to the ticketmaster and grab some seats, believing it would be the last time he would be seeing the basketball player. The fan purchased two tickets for the March 31, 2026, game, which cost him $432.83 apiece.

Later, when the Lakers player finally announced his decision which was a Hennessy advertisement, the tickets lost almost all their value, as per the fan. Garcia told TMZ Sports:
"I wouldn't have purchased it if he wasn't going to retire. Plain and simple."
LeBron has been called out for the incident by the fans online. He was also criticized by NBA journalist and media personality Stephen A. Smith, recently.
