Victor Wembanyama To Miss Rest of the Season

The medical issue was identified after Wembanyama returned to San Antonio following the conclusion of the NBA All-Star Game, that took place in San Francisco last weekend. The rising sensation represented Team Chuck in the annual All-Star game. Spurs did mention anything related to the timeline for his recovery but stated that the French national is expected to miss the rest of the regular season.

Wembanyama's absence will come as a huge setback for the Spurs, as has established himself as an integral part of the franchise. Before the injury, Wembanyama was delivering impressive performances for the Spurs. He was averaging 24.3 points, 11 rebounds, 3.8 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game, making significant contributions on both ends of the court.

As Spurs have been building its team around the young Center, his sudden departure will impact the whole setup of the team. However, since it is a medical condition, the franchise will be required to make decisions based on diligence and would have to refrain from forcing an early return. Thus, they would have to figure out how to proceed in the season without Wembanyama.
