Lakers to Pursue Jazz's Forward to Build Super Team with Luka Doncic and LeBron James

Nevertheless, the Lakers are considering options to strengthen the duo by adding a forward to build a super offense. In the process, the Lakers' find has reached Utah Jazz's forward John Collins has come under their radar.

Collins, 27, has emerged as quite an asset for the Jazz this season. The player's versatility has been on display, so much so that despite Utah's lingering struggles, Collins has continued to shine. The forward has been averaging 18.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting an impressive 63.5% from the field. His impressive three-point shooting, hitting 41.8% from beyond the arc, has made him an attractive option for the Los Angeles Lakers to consider.

"The Utah Jazz might have a big man who would raise the Lakers' ceiling higher than Jakob Poeltl, Clint Capela or any of the others mentioned here," wrote Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey. "He's long been seen as more of a power forward, but Collins has effectively played some 5 in Utah. He stretches the floor as an outside shooter, has a decent block rate, and would feast as a lob threat playing alongside Luka and LeBron James."

With the skillset he carries, Collins holds the resume of a player who can perfectly complement LeBron and Luka on the court, which could bolster the Lakers toward achieving the ultimate target of winning the Larry O'Brien trophy.
