Nikola Jokic Registers Massive Milestone

The modern-day great Nikola Jokic achieved a colossal milestone on Tuesday during the Denver Nuggets vs. Dallas Mavericks matchup. The ever-consistent Center made a 29-minute appearance in the match, which was enough for him to register 10 points, 14 assists, and 10 rebounds. While these are not the usual stats that the Slovenian puts on, it made him breach the massive mark of 15000 points. What's extraordinary is that Nikola Jokic is the quickest to reach the point, breaking Larry Bird’s record.

Larry Bird took 799 games to attain the figure, Nikola Jokic on the other hand has taken 90 games fewer to amass the elusive number of 15000 points. Adding another NBA feat to his name, Jokic has come to a parallel position with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only centre in NBA history with 5000 career assists. He entered the game with 4992 assists and reached the 5000-mark with his eighth assist in the third quarter.

Nikola Jokic is currently averaging an impressive 30.6 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 9.8 assists this season. After missing two games due to illness, Jokic registered a second consecutive triple-double. This was his 145th triple-double, a feat that has brought him at level with Russell Westbrook.
