Story Highlights:

Australia have registered 6 consecutive wins in WTC 2025-27.

England's chances of making to maiden WTC final look bleak.

Australia continued their unbeaten run in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle whereas England suffered their fifth defeat. While the Ashes has slipped out of England's grasp, their chances of reaching maiden WTC final look bleak as well. Their win percentage has dropped blow 30 as they continue to occupy the seventh spot on the table. Even if they win the remaining two Tests of the series, they will not be able to take India's place on the table.

Bangladesh and West Indies are the only two teams below England. Bangladesh played a draw and lost another from two Test they played against Sri Lanka whereas West Indies are yet to open their account. West Indies have just one draw from seven Tests. They will have to pull off a herculean task to win the third and final Test of the series against New Zealand. Otherwise, they are likely to extend their stay at the bottom of the points table.
