Pakistan's opening batter Fakhar Zaman backed former skipper Babar Azam who is currently going through a lean patch in his career. Pakistan's premier batter has lost his mojo since returning home from South Africa. He smashed three successive fifties in the two Tests in South Africa.
Babar who recently featured as an opener along with Fakhar Zaman against New Zealand again got cheaply dismissed scoring 10 runs in the first ODI of the tri-nation series featuring South Africa, New Zealand and Pakistan.

Babar's opening partner Fakhar Zaman who scored 84 off 69 in Pakistan's 331-run chase at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore believes that the star batter will get his mojo back in the upcoming matches.
"It happens in cricket, but the class and legacy of Babar is such that you can not say much about one match, and you will see that he will perform in the upcoming matches," said Fakhar at the post-match press conference on Saturday, as quoted from Geo News.
Pakistan will now face South Africa on February 12 at the National Stadium in Karachi and that match will decide Mohammad Rizwan-led side's fate in the tri-nation series.
After finishing the tri-nation series, Pakistan will lock horns against New Zealand for the opener clash of the Champions Trophy 2025. The 8-team mega event is scheduled to start from February 19 and the matches will take place in Dubai and Pakistan. Matches featuring India and one of a semifinal will take place in Dubai and Pakistan's Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi will host the rest of the tournament. The venue for the final depends on India's performance, if Men in Blue manages to qualify for the summit clash it will take place in Dubai. Otherwise, Pakistan will host the summit clash.
