The security issues highlighted by Ahmedabad's local police forced the change in the World Cup fixtures. Notably, India versus Paksitan's earlier fixture was coinciding with the commencement of the Hindu festival, Navaratri. The simultaneous occurrence of the prominent cricket game and the festival celebrations might challenge the local administration's ability to oversee the event efficiently.
Besides, India-Pakistan's match, ICC announces changes in fixture in eight other matches.
Key Matches Rescheduled:
India vs Pakistan: Moved from October 15 (Sunday) to October 14 (Saturday) in Ahmedabad.
England vs Afghanistan: Now scheduled for October 15 (Sunday) in Delhi, moved from the previously planned October 14.
Pakistan vs Sri Lanka: Rescheduled to October 10 (Tuesday) in Hyderabad from the initial October 12.
Australia vs South Africa: The match in Lucknow has been shifted to October 12 (Thursday) from the earlier October 13 (Friday).
New Zealand vs Bangladesh: Initially planned as a day match on October 14 in Chennai, it's now set for October 13 (Friday) as a day-night game.
England vs Bangladesh Timing Update: In Dharamsala, the match has been changed to a day game, beginning at 10:30 AM local time.

India vs Netherlands' fixture preponed
India's final league match against the Netherlands is now on November 12 in Bengaluru as a day-night game, moved from the initial November 11.
The ODI World Cup 2023 will kick off on October 5 with 2019 finalists, England and New Zealand, facing off at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The grand finale will be held at the same location on November 19.
