United States speedster Saurabh Netravalkar created history during the recently concluded clash between India and the USA. He picked up Virat Kohli's wicket on a golden duck and that's the first time in the history of the T20 World Cup that India's batting great departed on a golden duck. He left playing cricket because of tough competition in India.
Apart from Kohli's wicket, Netravalkar's outing against Pakistan in Super Over. He just conceded nine runs in the match deciding over which helped the USA to beat Pakistan by five runs.
Netravalkar revealed that during his playing days, there was tough competition in India for cricket because of the talent. He took a practical call to leave cricket and pursue coding. Her got his graduation from Cornell University.
“It is difficult to explain that journey in a couple of sentences. It's been really very long. Back then, I had to take a practical call when I saw that my career as a cricketer in India wasn't really taking off because of the talent around. I got a chance to study in a reputed university here and it was a decision to pursue my other love, coding,”. Netravalkar told TOI.
Saurabh Netravalkar bowled a good-length delivery that went with the angle and took Kohli's outside edge as he looked to play away from his body and the wicketkeeper took a simple catch. He revealed that it was an emotional moment for him to get Kohli's wicket.

“These last two games were really high-profile. It was an emotional moment to get Virat's wicket. I was looking to hit off-stump and it worked out well.”
Netravalkar also revealed that Kohli congratulated him for his performance in the marquee event. After India's clash he was seen having a chat with India's Suryakumar Yadav as he played cricket with him during his early days.
United States will now face Ireland for their upcoming clash which will take place at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.
USA Super-8 Qualifying scenario
USA are just a win away from qualifying for the Super 8 and if their upcoming match against Ireland washed out then also the co-host will enter in the Super 8. But if USA lost this clash against Ireland and Pakistan won their upcoming match then Babar Azam & Co. will qualify for the playoffs instead of USA.
