Former West Indies captain Daren Sammy has backed West Indies to come back stronger in the ongoing T20 World Cup in Oman and United Arab Emirates (UAE) ahead of their clash against Bangladesh on Friday.

The Kieron Pollard-led West Indies have lost both of their matches so far. They bundled out for 55 against England and faced a humiliating 6-wicket defeat. Though they bettered their performance against South Africa, the result was no different.

Despite West Indies' disappointing start to the event, Sammy is confident over his team's ability to do well in the remaining matches and qualify for the semi-finals.

"We are all disappointed. The World Cup has not started as we have wanted to. It doesn't mean we are out. What we can control now is the way we go out and play", Sammy told in the video uploaded by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Sammy also believes that the West Indies camp must make a few adjustments before facing Bangladesh.

"As a captain, I know that I have to make some personal changes in the team. Roston Chase would definitely come in," the 37-year old added.

Currently, West Indies are at the bottom of the points table of Group 1 without any points in their account with a Net Run Rate (NRR) of negative 2.550. The only way for the defending champions to stay alive in the tournament is to win all the three remaining matches, which will be played against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Australia.

Though winning all of their remaining matches will not guarantee them a spot in the last four. They may have to rely on the results of the other teams in their group to advance to the semi-finals.
