Indian bowling coach Morne Morkel hinted that the fast bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy will most likely to make his Test debut in Australia for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Team India will most likely to play the first Test match without skipper Rohit Sharma and in his absence, Jasprit Bumrah will lead the side.
Nitish Reddy who recently featured in Australia representing India A will most likely to make his debut for the senior cricket team in the five-Test match series against Australia scheduled to start on November 22.

Ahead of the first Test match bowling coach Morkel said that Reddy is a guy to keep eye an on in the series.
"He is one of the young guys. Batting all-round ability. He'll be one guy who can hold one end for us, especially for the first couple of days," Morkel said.
"Wicket-to-wicket bowler. Any team in the world would want an all-rounder who can help the pacers. It'll be on Jasprit how he uses them. Definitely a guy to keep an eye on in the series," he added.

Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 schedule
The highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia is set to kick off on November 22 with the opening Test in Perth. The second Test, taking place from December 6 to 10 at Adelaide Oval, will feature the thrilling day-night format under the floodlights. Following this, the action will shift to Brisbane's Gabba for the third Test, scheduled from December 14 to 18. The traditional Boxing Day Test will be held at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26 to 30, marking the series' penultimate chapter. The fifth and final Test is slated for January 3 to 7 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, where the series is expected to conclude in a captivating finale.
