All you need to know about Jai Moondra
Jai Moondra's cricketing journey took a kick start in Rajasthan's Tonk district, where he first picked up the sport as a youngster. Although he started playing as a pacer, he transformed his skill set with time to become a full-fledged batting all-rounder with left-arm spin as his secondary skill.
In an interaction with Cricket Ireland, Moondra revealed that at certain points in life he was very serious about his studies. However, he continued playing during his college time and found the spark back. A comeback to competitive cricket followed when he joined his college team, and as he saw a rise in his speed.
Following completing his graduation in 2019, Moondra faced one of the biggest moments of his life. He had a choice of having a settled corporate life or pursuing his career in cricket. At last, he decided to give final shot at the sport. With the dream he moved to Ireland in 2021, where he enrolled in a Master's Programme in Electronics and communication while continuing to get better cricketing opportunities.
Fortunately the decision turned to be in Moondra's favor as he became a member of Leinster Cricket Club and steadily established himself as a dependable player. He played a key role in Leinster's Irish Senior Cup triumph.
