India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has moved to eight position in the newly-released International Cricket Council (ICC) women's ODI rankings released on July 5. Mandhana scored an unbeaten 94 in the second ODI against Sri Lanka on July 4 as India beat Sri Lanka by 10 wickets chasing down the total of 174 with Shafali Verma on the other side.

After an unbeaten 71, Shafali has moved up in the rankings as well. She moved up 12 spots to reach 36th position. This is the teenager's career-best rankings in the ODI format. On the other hand, all-rounder Deepti Sharma has moved up in both the list. With her all-round show in the ongoing three-ODI series, she is now placed 29th on batters rankings and 16th on bowlers’ rankings.

In the all-rounders rankings, she did not move up a spot but gained 20 rating points to reduce the deficit between here and sixth-ranked Australia's Ashleigh Gardner.

Indian all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar, Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Meghna Singh have moved up in batter rankings. Vastrakar gained three places to move to 61st. She finished the first ODI with a six. Gayakwad moved up four places to 93rd whereas Meghna entered the top 100. In the bowler's rankings, Gayakwad gained one spot to move to 11th whereas Meghna (47) and Vastrakar (50) moved into top 50.

Renuka Singh's instrumental display has helped her jump 38 places to move to 65th position. The new-ball bowler got four wickets in the previous ODI including three in powerplay overs. She has taken seven wickets from two ODIs so far.

The two wins have also helped India level with arch-rivals Pakistan. India and Pakistan are now placed second in the IWC points table. If India whitewash Sri Lanka in the ODI series, it will take India to the top along with South Africa.
