Mumbai Indians' (MI) Arjun Tendulkar continued to grab eyeballs with his splendid bowling in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), this time against Punjab Kings at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in Saturday (April 22). Match by match Arjun is only getting better. Arjun spent the last two seasons on the bench but he has worked enough on his skillsets and is already reaping benefits of it in the sixteenth season of the glitzy league.
After Arjun was handed the MI's debut cap in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders few days back, his teammate Tilak Varma described him as the ‘Yorker King’. In the match a against PBKS, Arjun proved why Tilak addressed him as the Yorker King. Having already displayed his yorker expertise in the final over against SRH in which he defended 20 runs, Arjun showed a glimpse of it in the clash against PBKS again. In the seventh over of PBKS' innings, Arjun bowled a toe-crushing perfect yorker to Prabhsimran Singh which left the batter in all sorts of bother. Deterred by the yorker, which landed right in the blackhole, Prabhsimran couldn't get the bat down in time which saw Arjun making a loud LBW appeal to the field umpire. The umpire took no time to raise his finger, however, Prabhsimran decided to review the umpire's call. Review didn't land in Prabhsimran's favour as Ultraedge didn't show any hint of bat making any contact with the bat and impact showed ball hitting the stumps. Hence the umpire held his decision which saw Prabhsimran returning to the hut after scoring 26 off 17 balls.
Upon Prabhsimran's dismissal, which was Arjun's second scalp of the IPL 2023, the junior Tendulkar's happiness knew no bounds as he celebrated with the teammates and tapped on skipper Rohit Sharma's back and made a gesture of thumbs up.

SRH went on to post a total of 214/8 and despite Cameron Green (67 off 43) and Suryakumar Yadav's (57 off 26) blitzkrieg MI lost the match by 13 runs which snapped their three-match unbeaten streak.
