David Warner-led Delhi Capitals (DC) have been lacklustre this season with four losses on the trot. While they lost comprehensively in the first three games, they lost to Mumbai Indians in a nail-biting encounter on April 12 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. DC’s Director of Cricket who was quite animated in the dugout during the fourth clash feels the team will take time to get in sync with so many youngsters in the side.

"The loss certainly hurts, especially because of the way this team has played since 2019. But these things happen in sport. It's never easy when you lose. There are so many youngsters in our side and we'll take time to be a good team," said Ganguly ahead of DC’s clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 15.

Overseas batters barring Warner have failed to score big. Even Warner has struggled to score at his usual strike rate. Axar Patel is the only batter who looks in good form. The former Indian skipper wants players to do some soul searching in the meantime.

"It can only be up from here and hopefully, the young boys will turn up on the high-scoring wicket in Bengaluru. You have to find a way to make a comeback. This has happened to everyone," he said.

"When you play for a period of time, you will go through such phases. It's about going back to your rooms, looking at the mirror and asking yourself how can I change."

In two of the games, DC fell short of target by a long margin. Had it not been for Patel’s quickfire half-century against MI, it would have been another low-scoring encounter.

"We'll have to bat much better. Axar was absolutely brilliant and that's why we got a score of above 170. We need others to stand up. Lalit bowled well on the wicket in Delhi. But the most important thing for us is to get together and put runs on the board," the 50-year-old said.

DC are currently at the bottom of the table with four losses in a row. Their batters will have a chance to perform on a batting paradise of a wicket at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru against Faf du Plessis-led RCB.
