Andre Russell smashed an unbeaten 57 off just 25 balls in KKR's winning cause in a nail-biting IPL 2025 clash against RR on May 4. Promoted up the batting order, Russell initially took a measured approach before unleashing his explosive power once he settled at the crease, ultimately proving to be a key factor in KKR's win.

Russell blazed his way to a historic IPL innings, smashing 6 sixes and 4 fours at a blistering strike rate of 228.00.

At Eden Gardens, Russell stands alone as the first and only overseas batsman with 1000 IPL runs.

A KKR mainstay since joining in 2014, Russell has been consistently retained by the franchise before mega-auctions and reached 1000 runs in just 41 innings.
