The team confirmed that legendary cricketer Rahul Dravid will return to the Rajasthan Royals' preseason training camp on Wednesday, March 12. The former champions are training tirelessly in preparation for the IPL 2025 season. Rajasthan announced on social media that Dravid was not with the squad preparing for the upcoming season, which begins on March 22, after he sustained a leg injury while playing cricket in Bengaluru.

Dravid suffers leg injury

Dravid was spotted with a cast on his left leg while posing for a picture wearing a Rajasthan Royals shirt.

"Head Coach Rahul Dravid, who picked up an injury while playing Cricket in Bangalore, is recovering well and will join us today in Jaipur," the franchise said in a post.

The Rajasthan Royals hired Rahul Dravid as their head coach prior to last year's IPL 2025 mega auction. After leading India to victory in the T20 World Cup, the former captain of India, who served as Team India's head coach from 2022 to 2024, resigned from his position. During the 2025 season, Dravid will collaborate closely with director of cricket Kumar Sangakkara and skipper Sanju Samson.
